Welcome to our Beloved Guruji's Camp on Mundaka Upanishad @ Rocky Gap Resort

The Upanishads are the gifts of the God-Realized seers who did not claim authorship of their revelations. The style of every Upanishad is a personal conversation between inquiring students and sympathetic masters of inner wisdom. Mundaka Upanishad of the Atharva Veda is one of the most popular of the major ten Upanishad-s. Mundaka Upanishad teaches the science of Self-Unfoldment. It indicates the goal of life, the meaning behind the struggle and strife of our present life, and the way by which this great goal can be achieved by every one of us.

Mundaka Upanishad removes the veil of Ignorance that covers our true Self. It is so poignant that it is primarily intended for the sannyasin-s in their quest for the attainment of the Eternal and the Imperishable. Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda, during the week of the spiritual retreat will bring that profound knowledge to each one of us. This Upanishad contains some of the most famous, beautiful and oft-quoted metaphors in Upanishad-ik literature. All serious seekers will spiritually benefit by practicing repeated contemplation upon its teachings.

The famous dictum, "Truth alone Triumphs, not untruth (Satyameva Jayate na anrutam)" that adorns the Indian National Emblem finds a place in this Upanishad. Truthfulness leads one to the Truth's eternal abode--Brahman, the Supreme. "Knower of Brahman becomes Brahman (Brahmavit Brahma eva bhavati)" is another most often quoted phrase in Hindu literature is also from this Upanishad.
